Role Overview

At Austin Center for Rehabilitation, physiotherapy plays an important role in helping children develop physical skills, improve movement and achieve greater independence in everyday activities. We are looking for a patient-focused and dedicated Physiotherapist with a genuine interest in pediatric rehabilitation. The successful candidate will provide individualized assessments and therapy interventions, monitor children's progress and guide parents on appropriate home-based activities. This position requires strong clinical knowledge, practical therapy skills, excellent communication and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary pediatric rehabilitation environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments to evaluate children's gross motor skills, muscle strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, posture, gait and functional mobility.
• Identify physical difficulties, developmental delays and movement limitations, and establish appropriate therapy goals.
• Develop individualized physiotherapy treatment plans based on each child's assessment findings, functional needs and developmental goals.
• Provide pediatric physiotherapy interventions to improve strength, balance, coordination, mobility, posture, endurance and motor development.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate therapeutic exercises, movement activities and functional training.
• Support children with developmental delays, neurological conditions, cerebral palsy, motor coordination difficulties, hypotonia, postural challenges and other physical limitations within professional scope of practice.
• Work on gross motor milestones, including sitting, crawling, standing, walking, jumping and other age-appropriate movement skills.
• Provide gait training, balance activities, strengthening exercises and mobility interventions according to individual clinical needs.
• Use appropriate therapeutic equipment, positioning techniques and rehabilitation activities to support children's functional development.
• Monitor children's progress, evaluate treatment outcomes and update therapy goals and intervention plans when required.
• Follow professional ethics, clinical protocols, patient safety standards and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized and accredited university; a relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• 1–3+ years of relevant clinical experience in physiotherapy or rehabilitation.
• Previous experience in pediatric physiotherapy, child development or pediatric rehabilitation is strongly preferred.
• Ability to conduct physiotherapy assessments, develop treatment plans and implement appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with children, parents and caregivers.
• Good English communication skills; Arabic is an added advantage.
