Role Overview

As a Psychologist at Austin Center in Sharjah, you will provide psychological assessment and intervention for children with developmental, behavioral, emotional and learning-related needs. You will evaluate children's individual needs, develop appropriate psychological intervention plans, provide therapeutic support and monitor progress in collaboration with parents and the multidisciplinary clinical team. The role is particularly suitable for professionals interested in child psychology, clinical psychology, pediatric psychology, developmental psychology and autism intervention.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate children's cognitive, emotional, behavioral and developmental needs.
• Assess children presenting with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, developmental delays, anxiety, emotional difficulties and behavioral challenges.
• Develop individualized psychological intervention plans based on assessment findings and each child's developmental needs.
• Provide age-appropriate psychological interventions and evidence-based therapeutic support.
• Support children in developing emotional regulation, social skills, self-esteem, coping strategies and positive behavior.
• Conduct parent consultations and provide practical guidance to support children's development at home.

• Participate in clinical case discussions, multidisciplinary reviews and treatment planning.
• Maintain professional ethics, confidentiality and appropriate safeguarding practices.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Child Psychology or a relevant specialization, as appropriate for the professional position and licensing requirements.
• A bachelor's degree in Psychology may be considered for suitable junior positions where permitted by the applicable licensing requirements.
• 1–3+ years of relevant experience in psychology, preferably in child psychology, clinical psychology, pediatric rehabilitation or developmental services.
• Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, emotional difficulties or behavioral challenges is preferred.
• Knowledge of psychological assessment tools, evidence-based intervention approaches and therapeutic practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with children and their families.
